This game was developed over the course of 72 hours for the Winter 2024 UChicago Game Jam. Team Sweethearts was a randomly assigned group of four UChicago undergraduates. The theme for the jam was “X within an X”, e.g. story within a story. See the description on our itch.io page for more details about how we approached this prompt.
Contributions
FPS! was a highly collaborative effort from start to finish, so everyone did a little bit of everything. I primarily worked on the script and visuals of FPS!, including plotting the core story beats and writing a significant portion of the dialogue. Thanks to my previous knowledge of Ren’py, I was also able to assist with programming and craft two of the minigames.
Designed the look and feel of the “Two Weeks” and “Avoidant” minigames. Programmed the clickable enemies based on existing code from the Lemma Soft Forums.
Art contributions included the title screen, logo, and “Two Weeks” scene.
